Hello everyone, my name is Elise Brooklyn and this is Scattering Flowers, a podcast where we scatter flowers of faith.
I’m so happy to be with you reading the daily gospels together.
Let’s get started! Today is Thursday, March 6th, and we’ll be reading Luke 9, 22-25.
Now, let’s read Luke 9, 22-25.
Do you wear a crucifix on your neck?
Do you have a crucifix hanging in your room or house somewhere?
I’m sure there’s one in your church near the altar.
Why do we have crucifix?
What does it mean to us?
It means that we have a Savior who was willing to give up everything so that we could have life everlasting.
It can be a reminder to us that His followers must also take up their crosses, give up everything, and follow Him.
That’s why during this Lent, we should take the time to fast something for the sake that Jesus gave His whole life on the cross.
The cross, it’s so much more than a necklace or a decoration.
It’s a reminder of how much Jesus loved us, and how we should always follow Him.
Let’s pray.
In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, dear God, please help us remember during this Lent that You are our Savior, and You died to save us.
Amen.
In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Thank you so much for listening.
I’ll be back tomorrow, scattering more flowers.
See ya!
