239. Wednesday, February 26, 2025

Hello everyone my name is Elise Brooklyn and this is Scattering Flowers, a podcast where we scatter flowers of faith.

I’m so happy to be with you reading the daily Gospels together.

Let’s get started! Today is Wednesday February 26th and we’ll be reading Mark 9 38 through 40.

Follow along your Bible if you have one.

Now let’s read Mark 9 38 through 40.

John said to Jesus, teacher we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we tried to prevent him because he does not follow us.

Jesus replied, do not prevent him.

There is no one who performs a mighty deed in my name who can at the same time speak ill of me for whoever is not against us is for us.

I am fully Catholic.

I entered the church Easter 2022.

I have such great memories from that day.

However, my grandparents, cousins, and other family members are not Catholic.

We are the only ones actually in our whole family but that doesn’t mean that my family members don’t love Jesus.

We still pray for our meals together when they visit and we still talk about Bible stories and play the Christmas nativity scene when we get together for Christmas because my family members are Christian, just not fully Catholic like me.

Today’s reading is about that Jesus was telling the disciples as long as we believe that Jesus can heal then that is what matters the most.

Let’s pray.

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Dear God, help us not to judge others just because we don’t believe the same things.

Amen.

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Thank you so much for listening.

I’ll be back tomorrow scattering more flowers.

See ya! you
