Hello everyone! My name is Elise Brooklyn and this is Scattering Flowers, a podcast where we scatter flowers of faith.

I’m so happy to be with you reading the daily Gospels together.

Let’s get started! Today is Monday, February 17th, and we’ll be reading Mark 8, 11 through 13.

Follow along your Bible if you have one.

Now let’s read Mark 8, 11 through 13.

The Pharisees came and began to argue with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven to test him.

And he sighed deeply in his spirit and said, Why does this generation seek a sign?

Truly I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation.

And he left them, and getting into the boat again he departed to the other side.

I do my math lessons on our computer with a teacher.

I do a lesson a day and learn new concepts probably every week.

I learn a lot and get confident with lots of things.

My online teacher, though, will remind us if we need a hint or help to click the button on the side.

Sometimes the button flashes or he will make a funny sound like a sneeze or a car horn.

It’s a sign to remind me if I need help with the math concept of the week.

I can click the hint button.

Sometimes there are signs of God’s miracles all around us.

There are signs of him every day, like the beautiful pink skies from the sun or the stars in the scarlet night, or a garden flourishing.

The signs of God’s love are right in front of us.

Let’s pray.

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, dear God, help us to notice your signs everywhere.

We love you.

Amen.

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, amen.

Thank you so much for listening.

I’ll be back tomorrow scattering more flowers.

See ya!
