183. Tuesday, December 10, 2024

Hello everyone! My name is Elise Brooklyn and this is Scattering Flowers, a podcast where we scatter flowers of faith.

I’m so happy to be with you reading the Daily Gospels together.

Let’s get started! Today is Tuesday, December 10th, and we’ll be reading Matthew 18, 12-14.

Follow along in your Bible if you have one.

Now let’s read Matthew 18, 12-14.

What do you think?

If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills, and go in search of the one that went astray?

And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray.

So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

I know, we probably know this story from the Bible really well, but I thought I would remind us all, especially during Advent season, it’s important to remember to take time to wait on God and be quiet before Him, so that we turn our eyes on Jesus, not on our own selves.

And when we feel lost, remember that He, as our Shepherd, will always come for us.

Let’s pray.

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Dear God, let us never forget that Your love is what saves us and can bring us back to You when we feel lost.

Amen.

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Thank you so much for listening.

I’ll be back tomorrow, scattering more flowers.

See ya!
