Hello everyone! My name is Elise Brooklyn and this is Scattering Flowers, a podcast where we scatter flowers of faith.

I’m so happy to be with you reading the daily Gospels together.

Let’s get started! Today is Tuesday, November 3rd, and we’ll be reading Luke 10, 21-24.

Follow along in your Bible if you have one.

Now let’s read Luke 10, 21-24.

In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to infants.

Yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.

All things have been delivered to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.

Then, turning to the disciples, he said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see what you see.

For I tell you that many prophets and kings desire to see what you see, and do not see it, and to hear what you hear, and do not hear it.

I’m going to give my parents a quick shout out.

If it weren’t for them deciding to believe in Jesus, I don’t know if I would know who Jesus is.

I’m feeling extra lucky to say I’m Catholic at my age.

But even if you didn’t believe in Jesus till you were older, think about how lucky you are too, because like in today’s reading, Jesus says the disciples are blessed because they see things in a godly way.

Let’s pray.

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Thank you, God, for the gift of life and love, and for all the other blessings you give.

Amen.

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Thank you so much for listening.

I’ll be back tomorrow.

Scatter your more flowers.

See ya!
