174. Wednesday, November 27, 2024

Hello everyone! My name is Elise Brooklyn and this is Scattering Flowers, a podcast where we scatter flowers of faith.

I’m so happy to be with you reading the daily Gospels together.

Let’s get started! Today is Wednesday, November 27th, and we’ll be reading Luke 21, 12-19.

Follow along in your Bible if you have one! Now let’s read Luke 21, 12-19.

Do not meditate beforehand how to answer, for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.

You will be delivered up even by parents and brothers and kingsmen and friends, and some of you they will put to death, and you’ll be hated by all for my name’s sake.

But not a hair of your head will perish.

By your endurance you will gain your lives.

Jesus is telling others not to be afraid of the end times, even though there will be disasters.

He told them to be bold and bear his testimony.

What does that mean?

Bear your testimony means to tell what they believed about Jesus.

Do you know how we can do that today too?

Pray the Creed! I believe in one God, Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth.

Pray, read your Bible, and listen to the voice of God.

Go to confession and Mass regularly.

Apologize right away for the wrongs you’ve done, and forgive those who have wronged you.

These will help you stay close to Jesus.

Then, whenever you are asked to bear testimony, you will be good to go.

Let’s pray.

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Dear God, thank you that we raise to become closer to you, so we can know that we believe about you.

Amen.

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Thank you so much for listening.

I’ll be back tomorrow scattering more flowers.

See ya! Bye!
