Hello everyone! My name is Elise Brooklyn and this is Scattering Flowers, a podcast where we scatter flowers of faith.
I’m so happy to be with you reading the Daily Gospels together.
Let’s get started! Today is Tuesday, November 26th and we will be reading Luke 21, 5-11.
Follow along in your Bible if you have one.
Now let’s read Luke 21, 5-11.
Then he said to them, Me and my brother love, love, love to build Legos.
We have lots of sets between the both of us.
When you get a new set, there is a set of directions you have to follow or doesn’t look right or maybe not work right.
When you finish all the directions, it’s super fun to play with.
But let me tell you, moving it over to another table or spot is tough.
If you drop it, it would be a tragedy of a broken mess.
Today’s story, Jesus and his disciples are at the temple and Jesus tells the disciples that someday that beautiful temple was going to fall over just like if I dropped my Lego build.
Luckily, Jesus tells us that even though that temple might not last, God does last forever.
Let’s pray.
In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Dear God, even when things are falling apart or I feel broken, thank you that you’ll always be there with us.
Amen.
In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Thank you so much for listening.
I’ll be back tomorrow scattering more flowers.
See ya!
