162. Monday, November 11, 2024

Hello everyone, my name is Elise Brooklyn and this is Scattering Flowers, a podcast where we scatter flowers of faith.

I’m so happy to be with you reading the daily Gospels together.

Let’s get started! Today is Monday, November 11th and we will be reading Luke 17, 1-6.

Follow along in your Bible if you have one.

Now let’s read Luke 17, 1-6.

Have you ever planted a seed and actually watched it grow into a bigot plant?

My brother planted a pumpkin seed last year from his carved Halloween pumpkin and we grew it in our backyard.

It got so big it took up the whole side of our fence.

My brother, me, or my mom would take time to water it and make sure the flowers were blooming.

It made me think more of what Jesus is teaching us.

It doesn’t take a great faith for great things to happen.

Why?

Because what happens doesn’t depend on us, but instead on God.

God has the power to do anything, and so we can trust whatever He does.

Let’s pray.

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, dear God, we ask for tiny seed-sized faith.

Help us to believe and never doubt you, Amen.

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Thank you so much for listening.

I’ll be back tomorrow scattering more flowers.

See ya!
