Hello everyone, welcome back.

My name is Elise Brooklyn and this is Scattering Flowers, a podcast where we scatter flowers of faith.

Today is Wednesday, May 15th, and we will be reading John 17, 11b-19.

Follow along in your Bible if you have one.

Now let’s read John 17, 11b-19.

Holy Father, I keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they have been known one, even as we are one.

While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me.

I have guarded them, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled.

But now I am coming to you, as these things I speak in the world, that they may have joy fulfilled in themselves.

I have given them your word in the world that hated them, because you are not the word, even as I am not the word.

I do not pray that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from evil one.

They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Sanctify them in the truth.

Your world is truth.

As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world, and for their sake I concentrate myself, so that they may be concentrated in truth.

One time, when I was in my little homeschool group, went to a farm, and they had a corn maze.

A group of us decided to go in it.

Some of us were really quick at getting out of it, and some of us not so much.

One of the little girls got stuck in it, and she started crying really hard.

So her mom went to find her.

She probably was so scared until she finally spotted her mom.

Finding your way through life can sometimes be like finding your way through a maze.

Each day we have to make choices on which way to go.

If we choose the wrong path, we have to back up and start all over.

Luckily, Jesus has given us guidance and help to make our way through the maze of life, the Bible and prayer.

Let’s pray.

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, dear Jesus, thank you for leading the way.

Life may not be easy, but with you, we know that we will never get lost because of you.

Amen.

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, amen.

Thank you so much for listening.

I’ll be back tomorrow, scattering more flowers.

See ya!
