Hello everyone, welcome back.

My name is Elise Brooklyn, and this is Scattering Flowers, a podcast where we scatter flowers of faith.

Today is Wednesday, April 24th, and we will be reading John 12, 44 through 50.

Follow along in your Bible if you have one.

Now, let’s read John 12, 44 through 50.

And Jesus cried out and said, He who believes in me, believes not in me, but in him who sent me.

And he who sees me, sees him who sent me.

I have come as a light to the world, and whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness.

If anyone hears my sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him, for I did not come as a judge to the world, but to save the world.

And he who rejects me does not receive my sayings as a judge.

The word that I have spoken will be his judge on the last day.

For I have not spoken on my own authority.

The Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment, what to say and what to speak.

And I know that his commandment is eternal life.

What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has bid in me.

I don’t like being alone.

I like to be with people.

I’m always with my brother or my mom or dad.

I even like when my dog sleeps with me at night.

I like the light better than the dark because you don’t feel alone.

What’s more to say?

Jesus says anyone who believes will not remain in darkness.

Let’s pray.

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, dear Jesus, thank you for coming into the world as a light.

I do not have to be alone.

What you say is true.

I believe in you.

Amen.

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, amen.

Thank you so much for listening.

I’ll be back tomorrow scattering more flowers.

See ya!
