Hello everyone, welcome back! My name is Elise Brooklynn, and this is Scattering Flowers, a podcast where we scatter flowers of faith.
Today is Tuesday, April 23rd, and we will be reading John 10, 22-30.
Follow along in your Bible if you have one.
Now, let’s read John 10, 22-30.
It was the Feast of the Dedication at Jerusalem.
It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple in the portico of Solomon.
So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, How long will you keep us in suspense?
If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.
Jesus answered them, I told you, and you do not believe the works that I do in my Father’s name.
They bear witness to me, but you do not believe because you do not belong to my sheep.
My sheep hear my voice and know them, and they follow me.
And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand.
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.
I and the Father are one.
Sometimes my grandma likes a puzzle she does so much that she glues it and puts it in a frame.
You would have to think really hard if you want to glue it, or you would never be able to do that puzzle again, because it’s totally stuck together.
In today’s scripture, Jesus talks about how no one can separate us from him.
Jesus said, If they follow me, no one can take them out of my hand.
If we give ourselves to God, we will be close to him.
Let’s pray.
In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
You are our helper, our glue that sticks us to God, the Father.
Please help us to do what he says.
Amen.
In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Thank you so much for listening.
I’ll be back tomorrow scattering more flowers.
See ya!
