Hello everyone, welcome back! My name is Elise Brooklynn and this is Scattering Flowers, a podcast where we scatter flowers of faith.
Today is Thursday, April 18th, and we will be reading John 6, 44-51.
Follow along in your Bible if you have one.
Now, let’s read John 6, 44-51.
No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up on the last day.
It is written in the prophets, and they shall all be taught by God.
Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me.
Not that anyone has seen the Father except him who is from God.
He has seen the Father.
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.
I am the bread of life.
Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died.
This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat of it and not die.
I am the living bread which came down from heaven.
If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever.
And the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh.
One week at church, I learned from the homily that when Jesus says, Amen, Amen, it means, Hey you, listen up, I have something important to say.
Jesus says, whoever believes has eternal life.
I am the bread of life.
Have you ever seen or heard something so amazing that you can’t believe it?
Me too.
It kind of feels like you have to see to believe.
Jesus is the bread of life.
Whoever does not see but believes will have life everlasting.
Let’s pray.
In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Dear Jesus, sometimes it’s hard to do, not want to see you in order to talk and pray to you.
Help my heart to never get bored of your mystery.
Amen.
In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Thank you so much for listening.
I’ll be back tomorrow, scattering more flowers.
See ya.
