Hello everyone, welcome back! My name is Elise Brooklynn and this is Scattering Flowers, a podcast where we scatter flowers of faith.

Today is Wednesday, April 17th and we will be reading John 6, 35-40.

Follow along in your Bible if you have one.

Now let’s read John 6, 35-40.

Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life.

He who comes to me shall not hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst.

But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe.

All that the Father gives me will come to me, and him who comes to me will not cast out.

For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given to me, but raise it up on the last day.

For this is the will of my Father, and everyone who sees the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.

One time I got super fancy to be a flower girl at my mom’s best friend’s wedding.

I got to pick my own dress, got a manicure, wore makeup, I felt like a princess.

I can imagine this being a perfect way to look if Jesus only accepted pretty people.

The verse says, I will not reject anyone who comes to me.

This means on days that I don’t feel pretty or even don’t feel good or that I’m not enough, Jesus will never reject me.

So don’t worry about what you look like or where you come from.

Jesus just wants you.

Let’s pray.

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Jesus, on days that I don’t feel like I’m enough, remind me that I’m pretty in your eyes, and that you will not reject me no matter what.

Amen.

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Thank you so much for listening.

I’ll be back tomorrow scattering more flowers.

See ya!
